International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Just 30 percent of all female students select STEM-related fields in higher education. Globally, female students’ enrolment is particularly low in ICT (3 percent), natural science, mathematics and statistics (5 percent) and in engineering, manufacturing and construction (8 per cent)*. To create awareness around this alarming underrepresentation of women in STEM, the UN has declared Feb 11 as the International day of women and girls in science

On this day, the Infosys Science Foundation celebrates the women who are leading innovation in STEM research, fighting stereotypes along the way!
